Geotechnical Studies
Geotechnical studies are conducted to obtain information about the properties of the soil and subsurface rocks at proposed construction sites. Geotechnical studies help to understand the foundation requirements for the construction of any new building, infrastructure project or facilities.
Geotechnical studies are a very essential step in any construction process because knowing the conditions below the surface is key to the success of the project, we have different methods in use.
To collect subsurface information such as:
Soil samples collection “open pits and pits”
- lab tests
- Monitoring and
- recording of geological
- layers under the surface
- shear test
- pallet test
- permeability test
- Monitoring the ground
- water level “piezometer”
- Standard Penetration Test
- cone penetration test
